Airline Pilots/Cabin Crew

Aviation professionals regulated by the Civil Aviation Department in Hong Kong undergo mandatory psychiatric and mental status assessments as part of their regular medical certification process, regulated by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (CAD) in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. Airlines may also conduct pre-employment psychological assessments. As a result, mental disability or disorder may disqualify them from service.
