D. Cleaning dusty items
Under section 6 of the Public Cleansing and Prevention of Nuisances Regulation (Cap. 132BK), no person may beat, shake, sweep, brush or cleanse in any street or public place any carpet, rug, mat or other material retaining dirt or dust. Contravention of section 6 is an offence punishable by a fine of $5,000 on a first conviction and a fine of $10,000 on a second or subsequent conviction.
