C. Defacing buildings and structures

Under section 8(b) of the Summary Offences Ordinance (Cap. 228), any person who commits the following acts without the consent of the owner or occupier is guilty of an offence:

Writing upon, soiling, defacing, or marking any building, wall, fence, or paling with chalk, paint, or in any other way whatsoever.
Wilfully breaking, destroying, or damaging any part of any building, wall, fence, or paling, or any fixture or appendage thereof.

The penalty is a fine of $2,000 and imprisonment for 3 months.
